Refrigerated cargo trucks have their own characteristics and distinctive characteristics. Refrigerated vans, refrigerated trucks and semi-trailers are used to transport products. Types of refrigerators depending on the degree of cooling
- Class A.Operating temperature between +12°C and 0°C inclusive. This type of equipment is used for transporting products that do not require temperatures below +1 degree.
- Class B.Operating temperature range between +12°C and -10°C inclusive. This type of transport is suitable for transporting dairy and meat products, as well as chilled fish.
- Class C.Maintains temperatures between +12°C and -20°C inclusive. Can be used to transport both deep-frozen products and refrigerated goods.
- Class D.Operating temperature – no more than +2⁰C. Refrigerators of this class are used for transporting flowers, medicines, as well as milk and dairy products.
- Class E (less than -10⁰C) and class F (less than -20⁰C). They are used exclusively for transporting frozen products.
If it is necessary to transport cargo with different temperature conditions, multi-temperature refrigerators are used. In such models, the body is divided into compartments. Each compartment can be set to a different temperature.
Loading capacity of equipment
Vehicles are divided into three main categories:
- High load capacity.Equipment from 5 – 20 tons. This is the optimal solution for long-distance intercity transportation.
- Average. Refrigerators from 3 – 5 tons.They are used mainly for local transportation of goods and medium-sized intercity transportation.
- Low.These are models that are capable of transporting from 1.5 to 3 tons. As a rule, such transport is used for local cargo transportation.
